On the brink of a crucial game 5, Vladimir Lucic spoke about “the battle of the coaches”.

Ahead of the last game of this quarter-final series, the Serbian forward talked to Serbian outlet Mozart Sport about this hard-fought series against Barcelona. According to the Bayern player, the key match-up of this series relies on both coaches, Sarunas Jasikevicius and Andrea Trinchieri.

“Both want to be leaders, and are obsessed with basketball and details, I have not worked under Saras myself but talked with players working with him and have been able to draw similarities between him and Andrea.”

Lucic’s experience in a game 5 will be crucial as the Serbian veteran was already in this situation last year. In 2021, he faced AX Armani Exchange Milan and this Game 5, the Serbian forward went for 8 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals but Shavon Shields’ 34 points led the hosts to the Final Four. His side will be missing both Corey Walden (back) and Darrun Hilliard (collarbone) in Game 5.

The Game 5 will take place on Tuesday, May 3 on 8:00 P.M
