European clubs are in the mood to sign big players! After the United States, the internationals Facundo Campazzo and Kostas Antetokoumpo are back in the Euroleague.
Red Star Belgrade announced the signing of the Argentine point guard, Facundo Campazzo (1.78 m, 31 years) for the rest of the season and that of 2023-24, although an exit clause next summer will allow him to buy his freedom in exchange for 50,000 euros.
The contract amounts in net are 1.8 million euros for the rest of the season and 2.5 million for the next.
The former player of Real Madrid, Denver Nuggets and Dallas Mavericks thus finds his compatriot Luca Vildoza in a team, which is currently 10th in Euroleague with 7 wins and 7 losses. However, the Euroleague states in a statement:
“At present, Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade is temporarily banned from registering new players or coaches on its Turkish Airlines EuroLeague roster during an arbitration procedure of the Euroleague Basketball Finance Panel based on unpaid and failing to provide the necessary information.”
The former Villeurbanne Kostas Antetokounmpo (2.08 m, 25 years) will continue his career in Fenerbahce announced the Turkish club. Endowed like his brother Giannis with extraordinary athletic qualities, the Greek international had not left an indelible mark during his passage in the Rhone.
Since then, he played 12 games in the G-League at Windy City Bulls for 11.7 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.2 steals, without playing any game in the NBA. At Fener, he will be reunited with his Greek national team coach, Dimitris Itoudis.
